Blow of Heart: Wax Tailor's album

French Version: Le premier album de JC Le Saout A.K.A Wax Tailor "Tales of the forgotten melodies" est sorti fin mars; pourtant, ce n'est que récement et surtout par hasard que j'ai découvert cet artiste.
Dès la première écoute, je suis tombé sous le charme de son album.
Dans ce disque conçu comme un long métrage , Wax Tailor nous raconte une histoire dans laquelle chaque titre est une séquence. Il orchestre les samples comme d'autres maîtrisent la direction d'artistes. En ce sens, WT me fait terriblement penser à Dj Shadow. Mais Shadow n'est qu'une partie infime des influences de WT. Parmis ses références, WT cite volontiers Herbie Han cock, Public Enemy, Portishead, Stanley Kubrick, John Barry et bien d'autres.

Au final, et grâce notamment à ses nombreuses collaborations [Nina Simone, The Others, Charlotte Savary (du groupe Closer), Marina Quaisse] WT nous livre un excellent album où il se régale à mélanger des sonorités hip hop, downtempo et trip-hop.

English Version: The first album of JC Le Saout A.K.A Wax Tailor "Tales of the forgotten melodies" has been released last March, however, it's recently and by random that I've discovered this artist. From the first listenning, I fell under the spell of his LP.
In this record, set up like a short film, Wax Tailor tell us a story in which each song is a sequence. Like Dj shadow, WT is the master of samples. But Shadow is just a slight part of Tailor's influences; among other artists, WT likes to quote Herbie Han cock, Public Enemy, Portishead, Stanley Kubrick, John Barry and many more.

At last and also thanks to his numerous collaborations [Nina Simone, The Others, Charlotte Savary (from the band Closer), Marina Quaisse], Wax Tailor has produced an excellent album where he enjoys mixing hip hop, downtempo and trip hop sonorities.

Cela Fait plusieurs fois ke je demande le disque à UNDERCOVER pour mon ecoute personnelle de cette album... je vais bien reussir par l'avoir ( UNDERCOVER est anciennement UCMG France...)
